Initial reports suggest that rapper Dayvon Bennett, also known as King Von - 26, was shot dead in a gunfire that erupted outside Hookah Bar in Atlanta by an off-duty police early Friday.
According to the investigations, King Von was trying to stop the shootout involving two groups of males prior to police response. His attempt resulted in a bad situation and got shot. He was then taken to the nearest hospital and was not on the scene anymore when authorities arrived.
Six people were wounded in the shootout and one is in critical condition, others are also taken in the hospital for treatment.
King Von, or Dayvon Bennett - was a Chicago native and was only starting to rise in his rapping career. "The 26-year-old artist left us just as the world was beginning to grasp the depths of his talents," according to his representatives.
